Our Story

International Scholars Academy stands on the foundation of a remarkable educational journey that began decades ago at the Islamic Saudi Academy and later flourished as King Abdullah Academy. From KG, through high school, on to graduation from the Academy, generations of students have been shaped by the same core values we uphold today—excellence, integrity, faith, global citizenship, and a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child.

As we transition into our new home in Fairfax, our legacy continues with renewed purpose. The expansion into a 64,000-square-foot campus, new renovations to the third floor for ISA’s middle and high school, and the creation of innovative learning spaces reflect a school community that honors its history while boldly embracing the future.

Our identity as an IB World school remains central to who we are. The traditions of inquiry-based learning, international-mindedness, and high academic expectations that defined ISA and KAA now continue under the banner of International Scholars Academy. Families, alumni, educators, and students recognize that this transformation is not only a new beginning—but a continuation of a powerful legacy built on trust, community, and shared vision. At ISA, our scholars inherited the dedication of educators who have guided them for years, the memories of a close-knit community, and the promise that their future will continue to be shaped by a constant passion for learning and a commitment to excellence that has defined us for generations.
